Microsoft will be releasing windows 7 in june 2010 and yes that is the official name it will be 2+ times more faster than xp and 5+ times faster than vista the reason for them making a new OS so early after vista is because vista was very cool looking but SLOW it was also very incompatible with many programs and all pc nowadays have vista MOST of them and that is not fair Microsoft has already lost ALOT of money because of osx and if they wait 3+ years they will loose more money. Guess what THEY WILL FINALLY BE CHANGING THE WINDOWS TASKBAR!!!!! that hasn't ever changed in the history of windows now it is half osx dock half traditional windows taskbar and guess what it has aero but now aero takes up 50% less memory!! i think this will boost microsoft and i honestly think it will be better than apples up coming
OS it will be named snow leopard it will have very little new features but this new version will be all about making osx faster! because there hasn't been a significant change in speed in about 4 versions it might be faster than windows 7 but i doubt it because windows 7 is already better than vista and xp in performance wise and snow leopard will come out way before windows 7 which gives microsoft a chance to copy some of that speed enhancing technology also windows 7 has a very nice ui there hasnt been alot of information about both OS but windows 7 has some info on the new taskbar but snow leopard has no info on it except on the apple site
